Government Extends Application Deadline for Essential Worker Support Program

The Provincial Government is extending the deadline for employers to submit applications under the Newfoundland and Labrador COVID-19 Essential Worker Support Program to August 20.

The original deadline was July 30.

There has been a large volume of requests for employer registration received to date. The extension is to ensure employers have ample time to submit their applications.

The program is administered using the Labour Market Programs Support System.

So far, more than 1,200 employer registration requests have been received.
