Gas prices jump overnight

The Public Utilities Board has used the interruption formula to adjust some fuel prices.

The board says that since Thursday there has been a "significant upward shift in the benchmarks used by the board to set maximum prices of regulated petroleum products."

As a result, gasoline is up 10.5 cents per litre and stove oil heating fuel on the Island has increased by 16.94 cents per litre.

Other fuel prices have not changed.

The next price change is scheduled for Thursday, April 21.
