Fire at Western Memorial Regional Hospital

Firefighters from the Corner Brook Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday afternoon.


 

 
The fire was located in the pharmacy of the building. There was apparently a lot of smoke and was electrical in nature.


 

 
Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.


 

 
At no time was the hospital evacuated. Newfound News has been told that there is a smell of smoke on the ground floor.

The pharmacy is located in the basement.


 

 
The call went out shortly after 4:00 pm this afternoon.
